Job summary

A leading Tier 2 structural engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee structural steel projects across the UK. This senior-level role requires proven experience with sizeable projects (500+ tonnes) and offers a diverse range of responsibilities, including project lifecycle management from planning to installation. Strong IT, communication skills, and knowledge of contracts (JCT, NEC) are essential. The position is primarily remote with occasional office and site visits.

Qualifications

• Solid working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle: planning, design coordination, fabrication, installation and commercial delivery.

A leading Tier 2 structural engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee structural steel projects across the UK. This is a senior level role, ideal for someone confident managing multiple steelwork packages (500+ tonnes) and delivering projects from design through to installation.

Role Overview

• Manage the full project lifecycle: planning, design coordination, fabrication, installation and commercial delivery
• Oversee multiple steelwork projects simultaneously
• Monitor programmes, ensuring deadlines, quality and commercial targets are met
• Lead client, subcontractor and internal team communication
• Provide strong commercial and contractual oversight
• Remote‑based with 1 office day per week plus site and client visits as required
