Job description
Senior Construction Solicitor

Senior Construction Solicitor (8+ years PQE) sought to support our Commercial Property Team on a part time basis. This role is ideal for a solicitor with extensive experience in non-contentious construction matters. You will work on a diverse range of projects for clients across multiple sectors, including drafting, negotiating, and amending various construction contracts, as well as providing legal support on projects.

What we are looking for
  • Advise clients on standard form and bespoke construction contracts, including JCT, NEC, FIDIC and related documentation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate collateral warranties, third party rights schedules, and letters of reliance for commercial property developments.
  • Prepare and negotiate professional appointments for design and consultancy teams (architects, engineers, project managers, etc.).
  • Provide strategic legal advice to commercial property teams and clients at all project stages, from procurement to completion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in commercial property and corporate advising on construction risk and due diligence.
  • Support transactional work, including development agreements, and sale and purchase transactions, advising on construction aspects.
  • Manage relationships with clients and an ability to deliver practical and commercial solutions.
