This is a chance to work across a wide range of clients and projects, making a tangible impact on corporate governance while enjoying the flexibility of our remote‑first set‑up.

Beyond Governance is the UK’s leading independent governance consultancy. We are trusted advisers to boards, General Counsel, Company Secretaries and senior executives across FTSE 100, FTSE 250 and AIM‑listed companies. Our expertise helps organisations strengthen governance, improve decision‑making, and navigate the challenges of operating in a listed environment.

What you’ll do

You’ll provide essential administrative and company secretarial support to help deliver high‑quality governance services to clients. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) :

  • Assisting with the preparation and filing of annual reports and confirmation statements
  • Helping to organise AGMs and general meetings, including preparing notices and supporting documentation
  • Providing administrative support for board and committee meetings — such as preparing board packs, taking draft minutes, and maintaining action logs
  • Supporting compliance processes, including maintaining insider lists and helping with share dealing and MAR administration
  • Preparing and submitting filings to Companies House, the FCA, and other regulators
  • Assisting senior colleagues with governance and company secretarial projects such as M&A work, share capital changes, or governance reviews
  • Helping to manage dividend and share plan administration
  • Maintaining statutory records and assisting with subsidiary governance and entity management

Beyond delivery, you’ll bring ideas that drive efficiency, effectiveness, and growth—while safeguarding your clients’ reputations.

How you’ll work
  • Assignments may be ongoing through our CoSec on Demand service, or on a project basis.
  • You’ll play a role in raising the profile of Beyond Governance through contributing to client work, supporting marketing initiatives, and—in time—taking part in webinars and podcasts alongside senior team members.
  • Flexibility : you’ll need to be flexible to work in client office as they require (travel costs to client offices are covered by BG).
What we’re looking for
  • Mandatory : Part or fully CGIUK&I qualified, with in‑house governance team experience
  • A self‑starter with strong technical expertise, able to work independently while collaborating closely with our supportive team
  • Someone with the confidence to contribute value‑add ideas, and the ambition to grow your influence in the governance space
Why join us?
  • Join a team of seasoned governance professionals who’ve been in your shoes in‑house
  • Enjoy the variety of working with multiple clients across industries
  • Work in a remote‑first, flexible set‑up without losing the sense of team and shared purpose
  • Build your profile externally while delivering work that makes a real impact
