Qualifications

  • Experience of working with people with mental illness and substance misuse.
  • Demonstrates ability to use initiative to deal with situations as they occur.
  • Ability to develop rapport and therapeutic relationships with service users.

Responsibilities

  • To develop and maintain professional relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • To support service users in identifying hopes and goals.
  • To assist service users in developing skills for everyday living.

Skills

Experience with chronic relapsing mental ill health
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of the Recovery Model
Ability to motivate and engage service users

Education

NVQ Level 4 or BTEC Higher National Certificate
