Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a Senior Clinical Fellow in Obstetric Anaesthesia. Senior Clinical Fellow - Obstetric Anaesthesia

Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow post in Obstetric Anaesthesia at The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. These posts are for 6 months - 1 year from February 2026

Main duties of the job
  • Work in a 1 in 8 EWTD compliant rota to provide anaesthetic cover in obstetrics on labour ward and support the on-call anaesthetic team when necessary, including the theatre anaesthetists and ICU team.
  • Provide analgesia and anaesthesia in maternity/labour ward.
  • Provide perioperative care, including pre-operative assessment.
  • Provide pain and analgesia service.
  • Transfer patients to other hospitals.
  • Work at The Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon Hospital.

Person Specification
  • Full registration with the GMC
  • At least 6 months working in anaesthesia in the UK.
  • Minimum 3 years of postgraduate training. Minimum 18 months of anaesthetic training in a recognised programme, and primary FRCA examination.
  • FRCA or equivalent
  • Experience in obstetric anaesthesia at SpR level.
  • At least 3 months ITU training. Experience in specialties other than anaesthesia
