Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine
There is excellent opportunity for an Emergency Medicine doctor to advance their career as a Senior Clinical Fellow (ST4+) with obtaining a postgraduate qualification. Post-holders will be based at West Middlesex University Emergency Department. This is suitable as an out of programme post; for prospective GMC approval for training, refer to the details on the GMC website.
We provide services from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and a number of clinics across London and the South-East. The Trust employs over 6,000 staff and serves nearly one million people. Both hospitals provide full clinical services, including maternity, emergency, and children’s services. The Trust is recognised as a high-performing organisation with strong staff engagement.
Our Care Quality Commission rating is overall Good across safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led domains, with an Outstanding rating for use of resources by NHS Improvement. The Trust has invested around £10 million per year in estate, with £25 million currently allocated to expanding adult and neonatal critical care facilities at Chelsea and Westminster and redevelopment of the children’s unit at West Middlesex in partnership with CW+ and donors.
The rota provides 24-hour cover with 1:3 weekends. The shift pattern is new deal compliant with a 1A banding. Pay banding may change to comply with new working practices or regulations relating to the reduction of junior doctors hours. This post is for a Senior Clinical Fellow based at Chelsea and Westminster Emergency Department (0.6 WTE) with remaining time for simulation, teaching, and medical education skills.
