Job description

We are looking for a reliable and experienced SENIOR NIGHT CARE WORKER to join our friendly, dedicated team. We operate 12 hour shifts, 8pm to 8am. Must be willing to work some weekend shifts when required. Salary variable, enhanced pay for weekends.

You should have extensive experience of caring for older people, including those living with dementia.

In this role you will need to

• Take responsibility for a shift, guiding less senior staff
• Work with the management team on quality assurance of the service
• Be trained and confident in administering medications
• Help our residents with all aspects of their personal care
• Be organised and efficient at digital record keeping (Nourish) and writing notes
• Show empathy and patience, spending time with individual residents
• Undertake some overnight housekeeping duties if necessary

Requirements

• Live locally to Ilfracombe
• Experience in a similar role is essential
• Flexibility is required and willingness to work some weekend shifts
• Level 2 Health and Social Care
• DBS check and 2 references
