Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring smooth running of the home and a supportive atmosphere.
  • Provide resident support: dressing, bathing, toileting, mobility, prioritizing dignity and independence.
  • Oversee medication management: ordering, administration, accurate documentation.
  • Engage in effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
  • Foster team collaboration, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment.
  • Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home's facilities.
  • Respond promptly to emergency call bells, assess situations, and provide or call for assistance as needed.
  • Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes, ensuring they reflect residents' needs and wishes.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning, taking responsibility for own growth and development.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies, including COSHH, and raise concerns to management.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care is essential. Experience as a Care Assistant actively working towards Level 3 is welcome.
  • Practical Medication Administration training with competencies is required.
  • Leadership skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, delegating tasks effectively while maintaining a supportive environment.
