You will monitor each resident's wellbeing and be involved in care planning, medication support, and communication with families and professionals. The ideal candidate will have NVQ 3 in care, two years of similar experience, and effective communication skills. Job summary

As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your focus will be on monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health and social care professionals.

Main duties

Your responsibilities will include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation. You will also be involved in the person‑centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations. Supporting residents with their medication requirements and undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will act as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
