Job summary

A healthcare provider in Peterborough is seeking a Senior Care Assistant – Nights at Waterhouse Manor Care Home. In this role, you will monitor residents' well-being, support medication requirements, and work closely with families and professionals. The ideal candidate will have NVQ 3 or equivalent, two years' experience in a similar role, and possess excellent communication skills. This position offers a competitive salary of £13.22 per hour on a permanent, full-time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of any change impacting care plans, and keep written records updated.
  • Participate in person‑centred care planning, implementing, monitoring and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
  • Act as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.
Qualifications
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Two years' experience working in a similar care setting.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
  • DBS Disclosure check – the cost will be met by Avery Healthcare.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
Benefits
