Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home.
  • Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Senior Care Assistant (Days). Longridge Hall Care Home
  • Hourly Rate: £14.95 per hour
  • Hours: 38.5 hours per week (3-4 shifts per week on a rolling rota)
  • Shift Pattern: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm

We are seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead and support our day team. This is a key role for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional care.

In this role, you will :

  • Lead and supervise care staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
  • Provide personal care, emotional support, and companionship to residents.
  • Administer and manage medication safely in line with regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to care planning and complete risk assessments to support individual needs.
  • Support the Home Manager with staff development, record-keeping, and day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals to support holistic care.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
