Overview

Senior Care Assistant position at Avery Healthcare in London. This is a temporary role requiring 2 years of experience in a similar care setting and an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
• Monitor the wellbeing of residents and identify changes affecting care and care plans, ensuring records reflect any variations.
• Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Support residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development where required.
• Act as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals; respond to reasonable requests and escalate concerns or complaints as needed.

About You / Requirements

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• 2 years experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
• DBS Disclosure check will be required; Avery Healthcare will meet the cost.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
