Overview

Senior Carer - Care Home

Hours: 44 hours per week

Salary: £16.39 per hour (Days) to £17.39 per hour (Nights) plus £750 'Golden Hello' Bonus

Location: Walton-on-Thames, KT12 4DD

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of care staff, including training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift.
  • Assist with administering and ordering medication, and reviewing/updating resident care plans and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and resident family members.
  • Respect the dignity and preferences of residents and contribute to a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment.
About You / Qualifications
  • Ideally hold NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience in a residential care setting with proven team leadership skills.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and wellbeing of residents.
  • Warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to providing individualised care and support.
  • Opportunities for career development through ongoing training; progression possible into roles such as Care Practitioner, Care Community Lead or nursing pathways.
