Job responsibilities
- Plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence.
- Lead a team of Care Assistants and influence the rest of the care team.
- Show residents how to use a walking frame, assist with end-of-life meals and communicate with residents’ families on the phone with kindness.
- Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; administer medication.
- Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
- Develop personalised care plans and contribute to person-centred care planning, with knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
- Ensure high standards of care and support time management and effective communication with residents and co-workers.
Job details
This is a full-time role with day or night shifts, 38.5 hours per week. Full flexibility is required. Location: Woodthorpe Lodge, Loughborough LE11 2ER.

Qualifications
- S/NVQ or Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care desirable but not essential
