Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Our residents are people with their own stories, and joining us provides a wonderful opportunity to give something back.

Job responsibilities

• Plan and implement care that gives residents security, dignity and independence.
• Lead a team of Care Assistants and influence the rest of the care team.
• Show residents how to use a walking frame, assist with end-of-life meals and communicate with residents’ families on the phone with kindness.
• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities; administer medication.
• Maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team.
• Develop personalised care plans and contribute to person-centred care planning, with knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
• Ensure high standards of care and support time management and effective communication with residents and co-workers.

Job details

This is a full-time role with day or night shifts, 38.5 hours per week. Full flexibility is required. Location: Woodthorpe Lodge, Loughborough LE11 2ER.
