Overview

About The Role: This is a full-time role working nights only, 8pm – 8am. Full flexibility is required. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One, kindness is at the core of everything you do across our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help residents with dignity, security and independence, and support their families by delivering personalised care plans.

You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintain the highest standards of care, and influence the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as helping someone use a walking frame, supporting residents at mealtimes, or speaking with families. You will support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager and participate in providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.

One of your key responsibilities is to maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with your team.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
  • Plan and implement personalised care that preserves residents’ dignity, security and independence.
  • Assist with activities, including mobility support, meals, social and recreational activities, and communication with residents’ families.
  • Administer medication in collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and timely documentation of care provided.
Qualifications
  • Ideally completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Care or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Brilliant positive energy and ability to get along with people. Strong record-keeping skills and effective time management.
  • Be truly considerate and kind when communicating with residents and co-workers.
