Main duties of the job

Senior Care Assistant — You will support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your duties include monitoring residents' wellbeing, contributing to person-centred care planning, supporting residents with medication requirements, and acting as a key contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals.

About the role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant is to support and collaborate with the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Other responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, noting changes that impact care and care plans, updating records to reflect new needs.
  • Involvement in the person-centred care planning process, including implementing, monitoring, and conducting monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health and social care professionals; ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints escalated.
