A leading care provider in Delves Lane seeks a Senior Care Assistant to lead and implement personalized care plans. This role requires a strong emphasis on kindness, along with knowledge in adult social care and dementia care. Successful candidates will enjoy comprehensive training and various benefits. Opportunities for part-time, full-time, or bank contracts are available.
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, Kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. And, by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
Planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. Getting to know our residents and their families to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the rest of the team. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal or talking to a resident's family on the phone, you will do so with a sense of kindness, above anything else. Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
We are able to offer Bank, part‑time or full‑time contracts. This position would be covering night shifts. We'll provide full training, so it's a great opportunity to learn something new.
Ideally, you'll have completed a Level 2 Diploma (S/NVQ) in Adult Social Care and are prepared to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or an equivalent. A background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia is required. What's essential, however, is your brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You'll know what good record keeping looks like and be able to manage your time effectively. When you communicate with a resident or co‑worker, you'll be truly considerate and kind.
At HC‑One, kindness is more than a word. It is a belief that caring for people means caring about what matters most to them so we can support them to lead their best possible life.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility in adult social care and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
Hourly rate is subject to experience and qualifications.
