Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer & Supply Chain Specialist to take ownership of our purchasing, inventory, and logistics functions. This is a hands‑on role where you will ensure materials and products are delivered on time, optimise stock levels, and manage supplier performance to support our production and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead strategic and operational procurement activities
  • Source materials at the best cost, quality, and delivery
  • Negotiate and manage supplier contracts; conduct audits and evaluations
  • Oversee the Company’s Stores Department and reduce stock holdings
  • Produce monthly stock and supplier reconciliation reports
  • Collaborate with Production and Contract Managers on supply forecasts
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement and supply chain processes
  • Manage, train, and mentor the Procurement & Stores team
About You
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong negotiation, supplier management, and interpersonal skills
  • Good knowledge of purchasing contracts, terms, and conditions
  • Proficient with standard IT and procurement software
  • Professional purchasing qualification (CIPS) or willingness to undertake
Qualifications
  • HNC or equivalent essential; Degree desirable
  • Professional purchasing qualification preferred
