Job description

Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading Defence organisation to recruit a Senior Buyer for an initial 6 Month contract. There is a rate of £32-£35 Per Hour PAYE (Payment via an Umbrella company is also an option at an equivalent rate of £43-£47 Per Hour) on offer for the successful candidate. There would be a hybrid working arrangement on offer with 3 days a week spent working onsite in High Wycombe and 2 days a week working from home.

Roles and responsibilities

• Normally performs routine work without requiring detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
• Independently carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.
• Drive actions to mitigate potential delivery delays by identifying risks, performing root cause analysis and development of recovery plans to bring shipments back in-line with customer requirements.
• Coordinates all activities related to procurement beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
• Analyses the requirements, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is needed.
