Senior Buyer - Electronics Manufacturing

Working hours - Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm

Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in electronic components and complex purchasing? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established contract manufacturer known for its collaborative culture and long-standing team.

As a Senior Buyer, you\'ll play a key role in a newly formed Commercial team, managing the procurement of bespoke components for a wide range of customer projects from sports tech to traffic systems. You\'ll be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to support production.

Responsibilities
  • Source and negotiate supplier quotations (price, lead time, delivery)
  • Analyse complex data across multiple components to inform purchasing decisions
  • Manage RFQs and purchasing for new and existing customer orders
  • Use MRP systems (Factory Master, transitioning to IFS) to support buying and quoting
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, Engineering, and Production teams
  • Maintain accurate system data and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years\' buying experience, ideally in electronics or manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of component and commodity purchasing (plastics, metals, etc.)
