Senior Building Surveyor (Fire Safety) - Birmingham

We are working with a dynamic expanding Building Consultancy who specialise in fire safety. Due to substantial private equity backing they are expanding their team across the UK and are currently looking for a Senior Building Surveyor in the Birmingham / Midlands area.

Remuneration

£70,000 - £80,000 + benefits package

Home based working set up with optional offices across the UK.

The Role

The Senior Building Surveyor will predominantly work across their clients multi-billion-pound managed portfolio of residential properties in addition to overseeing project and professional surveying on commercial office, hotel and PBSA developments. Core work will be a mix of internal and external refurbishment projects valued between £50,000 and c. £5 million in addition to fire safety and cladding reinstatement. On the professional side you will undertake pre-acquisition surveys, dilapidation, due diligence surveys, building pathology, reinstatement cost assessment, RAMS and EWS1 fire safety reports.

Due to the managed portfolio and reputation, the business they have a huge amount of secured work so the initial role will be mainly delivery focused with future role expansion into team growth and management and some business development. Due to the PE backing there are strong personal career development and growth opportunities within this business.

Requirements
  • MRICS qualified with a BSc in Building Surveying
  • Experience overseeing PPM projects valued between £50k and c£5 million.
  • Experience of building pathology, reinstatement cost assessment, cladding and fire safety.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills with the ability to work within a team environment and autonomously.
