Requirements:
  • MRICS Qualification or Equivalent - Hold, or demonstrate a clear commitment to achieving, MRICS chartered status or an equivalent professional qualification, ensuring professional standards and industry best practice are consistently applied.
  • Lead Site Inspections: Take ownership of detailed site inspections, assessing building conditions, identifying defects, and providing expert advice on remedial solutions.
  • Prepare and Present Reports: Produce high‑quality, comprehensive reports with clear recommendations, ensuring clients have the insight they need to make informed decisions.
  • Project Leadership: Work closely with the Building Surveying Partner while leading on a variety of projects across sectors including prime residential, healthcare, education, heritage, and leisure.
  • Client Management: Act as a trusted advisor, liaising confidently with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and resolving queries efficiently.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all work meets current building regulations, statutory requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Documentation and Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate project documentation and uphold the highest professional standards at every stage.
Skills:
  • In‑depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation - Fully conversant with all relevant H&S requirements, ensuring compliance on every project and prioritising safe working environments for all stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute with a strong client‑facing approach - Skilled in balancing technical accuracy with commercial objectives, fostering positive client relationships through clear communication, transparency, and value‑driven solutions.

  • Proficient in industry‑standard surveying tools and software - Competent in utilising digital measurement tools, CAD systems, and relevant surveying platforms to produce accurate reports and drawings.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work autonomously - Ensures accuracy and precision in all tasks, while maintaining accountability and delivering results with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills - Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, prioritising tasks effectively in fast‑paced environments.
