Senior Building Surveyor Job in Bristol

for a leading specialist consultancy seeking an experienced individual to play a key role in expanding their Bristol office paying up to £80,000 DOE plus benefits.

The company is well-regarded for its work in building surveying, dispute resolution, and technical consultancy, with a strong pipeline of projects and longstanding client relationships. As part of their expansion, they are looking for an ambitious surveyor to grow the team, build client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s continued success.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Preparing detailed reports, schedules of condition, specifications, and maintenance plans
  • Managing projects from inception to completion, including contract administration and budget control
  • Conducting building surveys, inspections, and assessments to identify defects, risks, and maintenance needs
  • Advising on building regulations, planning permissions, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Conducting dilapidations evaluations, managing negotiations, and reaching agreements on behalf of landlords and tenants
  • Providing specialist guidance on Party Wall matters and property disputes
  • Mentoring junior team members and supporting professional development within the team.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Track record of managing multiple projects, prioritising tasks, and delivering high-quality work under pressure
  • MRICS qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE in a client-facing role
  • Extensive expertise in dilapidations, Party Wall matters, and specialist building consultancy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a growing team
