Banking & Finance Lawyer (4-7 PQE)

Location: Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester or Reading (hybrid working available)

A growing national legal team is seeking an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer to join its dynamic practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys handling a wide variety of finance work and wants to develop within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

The Role

The position offers exposure to a broad range of banking and finance matters, including:

  • General corporate lending
  • Acquisition and leveraged finance
  • Real estate and development finance
  • Project finance
  • Asset-based lending and structured facilities

You will work on transactions for a diverse client base, including major lenders, specialist finance providers, private equity investors, and corporate borrowers across the UK and internationally.

This role is suitable for a solicitor or associate with 4-7 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) who is qualified to practise in England and Wales.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Advising lenders and borrowers on complex finance arrangements
  • Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documentation, intercreditor arrangements and other finance instruments (including LMA-style documents)
  • Managing transactions from initial instruction through to completion
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider commercial and corporate teams
  • Actively contributing to business development initiatives and strengthening client relationships
