Responsibilities
  • Act as the audit lead on fully listed and AIM‑listed audited entities. For larger assignments, this role will be supported by one or more Managers, though overall responsibility remains with the Partner.
  • Lead and direct all aspects of audit services delivered.
  • Manage people, including resource planning and allocation, performance management, training, and recommendations for promotion. Act as a mentor to team members, providing coaching to help them achieve their personal career goals. Act as a role‑model for Manager‑level staff.
  • Maximise profitability from a portfolio of audited entities.
  • Liaise with central departments on risk management, technical, and other matters.
  • Participate in practice management at a local level.
  • Support Partners in sales and marketing activities, including playing a key role in audited entity pitch teams, attending networking and other marketing events.
  • Contribute to developing new business relationships and proposals through high‑level sales and marketing activities, including targeting new audited entities.
  • Support the implementation and communication of new business strategies for existing and target clients.
  • Participate in Key Account Management.
  • Develop specialist knowledge of a sector, technical area, or commercial area.
  • Engage directly with clients on technical and audit judgement decisions.
Qualifications

ACA/ACCA/ICAS qualification or overseas equivalent

Required Skills

Significant experience delivering audit and assurance services to major companies, including listed (full list and AIM) companies and those with international interests. Excellent knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and financial reporting requirements. Experience managing and developing staff, including coordinating projects, mentoring, appraising, and recruiting. Business development experience, capable of identifying and converting opportunities to sell work. Proven experience managing a portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams within a project management framework.
