Job Description

You will join a dynamic team providing comprehensive construction law solutions to a diverse client base, including developers, investors, funders, contractors, and public institutions. The role is primarily non-contentious, involving drafting and negotiating construction and development documentation, advising on procurement strategies, and supporting large-scale projects in sectors such as regeneration, accommodation, healthcare, and renewables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on standard form and bespoke construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and appointments.
  • Managing complex agreements, due diligence exercises, and development arrangements.
  • Supervising junior team members and contributing to know-how and business development initiatives.
  • Supporting clients on live projects to mitigate risks and avoid disputes.
The Successful Applicant
  • UK-qualified lawyer with 6+ years PQE in non-contentious construction law.
  • Strong experience with standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and bespoke agreements.
  • Sector experience in development, investor work, or housing/accommodation is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage matters independently and supervise junior lawyers.
  • Commercial awareness, excellent organisational skills, and a collaborative approach.
