Overview

Our clients Environmental team is part of the firm’s wider Planning and Environmental practice, working with a broad mix of clients across both the public and private sectors and collaborate closely with colleagues in the Public Sector, Real Estate, Construction, and Corporate teams. The team advises on all aspects of environmental law, both contentious and non-contentious.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advice on a wide range of environmental and legal matters.
  • Support clients with regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Assist with Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests.
  • Conduct environmental due diligence for corporate and commercial transactions.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Contribute to marketing and business development activities.
  • Manage files in line with Lexcel procedures.
  • Take part in firm-wide and departmental training.
  • Support and mentor junior legal team members where appropriate.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 6 years’ experience in environmental law.
  • Strong academic background and excellent technical legal skills.
  • Ability to manage files independently and take ownership of work.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent client focus and communication abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and sound judgment.
  • Confidence and credibility in client interactions.
  • A proactive, disciplined, and collaborative approach to work.
