The Role

As a Senior Associate in this well-respected team, you will handle a broad range of employment matters, with a particular focus on employer-side advisory and contentious work. You will be advising clients across multiple industries on complex employment law issues, including:

  • Employee relations and HR advisory work
  • Tribunal and High Court litigation
  • TUPE and outsourcing arrangements
  • Employment aspects of corporate transactions (M&A)
  • Drafting employment contracts, policies, and procedures
  • Advising senior executives on termination, settlement agreements, and restrictive covenants
  • With strong business development skills, you will also play a key role in building client relationships and contributing to the team’s continued success.

Who We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 5-8 years' PQE (flexibility for exceptional candidates)
  • Experience in a City firm or a leading national/regional practice
  • Strong technical expertise in employment law, including contentious and non-contentious matters
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills
  • Business development acumen with the ability to nurture client relationships
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to deliver pragmatic solutions
  • A collaborative and proactive approach to working in a team environment
Desirable Experience

While not essential, experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:

  • TUPE transfers and outsourcing arrangements
  • Employment agencies and worker status issues
  • Business immigration (sponsorship compliance, right to work checks)
  • Financial services regulatory employment matters
  • Pensions-related employment issues
