A leading cancer treatment center in Cardiff is hiring a Senior Assistant Technical Officer to support the pharmacy team with dispensing medications and maintaining stock levels. The role requires a team player with strong communication skills, willing to obtain an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services. Previous hospital or pharmacy experience is preferred, but training will be provided. Candidates must be flexible and participate in weekend and bank holiday rotas as required.

This post is fixed term/secondment until 31 March 2027 due to funding.

We are a busy and friendly department. There will be plenty of variety in this job and you may spend time in our Clinical, Medicines@Home and procurement & distribution services. A typical day may consist of dispensing medicines for patients, topping-up stocked medication on wards or processing prescriptions for our care closer to home settings.
We will train you in all aspects of the role, so whilst hospital pharmacy experience is welcomed, it is not essential. We are looking for the right candidate, who is team player and eager to learn.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
You will participate in weekend and bank holiday rotas as required.
