Overview

Manchester community health and justice team are looking to recruit into 2 fixed term posts for the Approved Premises based in Manchester – the Senior Assistant Psychologist(s) will work with a client group of residents recently released from Prison.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to service development in line with a national pilot, providing trauma‑informed interventions to residents whose needs reflect their complex life histories.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide evidence‑based interventions to residents.
  • Support colleagues from Probation services in their own work with residents by contributing to training packages.
  • Be a key member of the nurse‑led team, supporting the psychological assessment of residents and formulation of their needs.
  • Develop interventions in line with assessments.
  • Deliver direct psychological intervention and group work support at the Stepped 2 care provision.
Key Information

Full‑time Band 5 Assistant Psychologist, fixed term posts, based in Manchester approved premises. The role is part of the Manchester community health and justice team.
