Job description

This position supports the Global Securities Lending Programme, ensuring operational excellence across the securities lending trade lifecycle in international markets, with particular emphasis on EMEA markets. The role is accountable for ensuring settlement accuracy, mitigating risk, and delivering continuous process improvements within a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. It emphasizes strong relationship management and close partnership with EMEA lending traders to deliver seamless execution and strategic alignment.

Core Responsibilities
  • Ensure smooth settlement throughout the stock loan trade cycle, including collateral collection, monitoring new loan settlements, returns, and managing critical broker recalls.
  • Partner closely with lending traders to strengthen collaboration, support operational excellence, and deliver on strategic priorities.
  • Reconcile and process mandatory corporate actions. Monitor, protect and execute voluntary corporate actions with counterparties.
  • Identify and resolve operational challenges; drive process improvements and strengthen stakeholder relationships.
  • Support ad hoc requests from the trading desk and contribute to the development of operational capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with custodians and external counterparties to ensure seamless operations and optimal service delivery.
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to established controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk.
  • Serve as subject matter and technical expert; identify and resolve complex fund and investment operational issues. Analyze cash flow, transaction, and portfolio holdings data.
  • Lead process improvement efforts, complete comprehensive analysis, and recommend solutions.
  • Document procedures across all fund and investment product types. Leverage fund and investment operational knowledge to aid in the production of gold copy data and enhance output.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external partners to resolve process and reconciliation issues. Oversee the research and implement complex process improvements.
  • Oversee daily operation, manage controls, and verify completion of processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and proactively propose solutions.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience of working within securities lending, securities financing or investment operations.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience within Accounting or Finance.
