JOB - FEA Engineer

LOCATION - Glasgow

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £40,000 to £55,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a specialist engineering company supplying bespoke components and systems to sectors such as automotive and aerospace. They are looking to grow their engineering team with the addition of an FEA Engineer to lead detailed simulations and stress analysis using industry-standard tools.

The FEA Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a similar field
  • Solid experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Proficiency in ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar FEA packages
  • Good understanding of materials, mechanics, thermal analysis, and fatigue
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor
  • Ability to create detailed technical reports based on simulation results
  • Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
The FEA Engineer role will involve:
  • Performing static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analyses
  • Supporting the design process by providing feedback on structural integrity and performance
  • Working closely with product development and mechanical design teams
  • Verifying product reliability through simulation and analysis
  • Preparing and presenting simulation data and reports to engineering and customer teams
  • Assisting in validation testing where required
