A leading construction firm in Manchester seeks an experienced professional for a Project Manager role. The ideal candidate will lead all construction aspects, ensuring safety and quality following established standards. Applicants should hold a degree or HND in Civil Engineering and have notable experience in construction delivery, ideally in a management role. An aspiring Agent or Junior Project Manager with equivalent skills and knowledge to manage the project may also be suited.
A-one+ is an Integrated Highways Services Joint Venture comprising Colas Limited, Jacobs Limited and Costain Limited, and have been engaged by National Highways Limited under a head Asset Support Contract to provide miscellaneous maintenance, highway asset renewal and management works of the motorway and trunk road networks in National Highways Area 12.
A-one+ was instructed to install higher parapets on the M62 Scammonden Bridge. The Scammonden Bridge is a single-span arch bridge of approximately 200m in length and approximately 35m above ground, which carries the B6114 road over the M62 motorway in West Yorkshire. It is the highest point on the National Highways network.
The project is to fabricate new steel parapet units, remove the existing aluminum ones, prepare for the installation of the new parapet and install the new parapet incl all SHE and QA documents. Despite A-one+ being a JV the project will use The Costain Way.
The overall value is £2.3m to be delivered from January to November 2026 with the installation weather window being April to September 2026.
