Job summary

A busy primary care practice in Bristol is seeking a Senior Administrator to work 16-20 hours per week, mainly on Thursdays and Fridays. Responsibilities include supporting clinical triage, managing surgery communications, and coordinating schedules. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, prior experience in a GP practice or NHS environment, and a minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation of patient services in a supportive team environment.

Wellspring Surgery is a busy and friendly primary care practice in Barton Hill, Bristol. The team work hard to work with and support the needs of our community.

We are recruiting 16-20 hours per week of a Senior Administrator on Thursdays and Fridays. We are looking to recruit someone who is happy to have a varied day and to learn a variety of administration tasks.

Main duties of the job

We are recruiting additional Senior administrator hours. Theideal candidate will already know aspects of primary care administration.

We are looking for someone with great communication skills, whois happy to help across administration and care navigation as needed.

The hours needed are on Thursday and Fridays.

Wellspring Surgery provides primary care services to 11,000patients in diverse and vibrant Barton Hill and surrounding communities ininner-city Bristol. Wellspring Surgeryis a core teaching, training, and research practice. The team is very friendly and focused onsupporting the needs of our local community. Wellspring Surgery is an activeparticipant in the Bristol Deep End GP Network, a member of the Bristol InnerCity Primary Care Network and we work closely with our colleagues across theInner City and East locality.

We are committed to continually improving the patient and staffexperience of our services, recognising the barriers to access for ourpopulation and are currently focusing on triage and continuity of care.

The Surgery comprises 3 GPPartners, 9 salaried GPs and a fabulous and growing multi-disciplinary team ofNursing, Clinical Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacists, Podiatry, Mental HealthPractitioner, BDP and Social Prescribing. The surgery has a friendly and supportive administration and care navigation team.

  • Campaign delivery for example, Flu campaign:Liaising with nursing team on stock, loading nurse clinic screens, bookingclinics
  • Excellent and timely communications withpatients including via text and Surgery website and email
