A leading mental health trust in England is seeking a full-time clinical leader to support patients with severe mental illness in acute inpatient services. The role involves monitoring patients, implementing care programs, and providing management supervision. Previous experience is desirable but not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided. In addition, the job entails being on the front line of monitoring patients' mental state to report to registered nursing colleagues. To be the clinical leader of the nursing team, providing care for people with severe mental illness and mental health problems. To provide clinical services that work within the policies, protocols and clinical procedures of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust. To work as part of a team providing a user‑focused, accessible and responsive acute nursing service that is safe, supportive and competent for people who experience acute mental health problems. To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for those who are experiencing acute mental health needs, within agreed limitations. Patterns of working will be by arrangement and may include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and on‑call responsibilities. Provide management supervision to members of the team. To undertake managerial duties in the absence of the Ward Manager/Clinical Lead.
We have an exciting opportunity to work in mental health services. We are looking for an empathetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working in acute female inpatient services. This vital role involves interacting with the patients on a daily basis and helping them meet their daily needs. The post is for full‑time working, which requires a rota‑based system with rotational nights and bank holidays also a requirement. Previous experience is desirable but not mandatory; as full induction to the service, complete with all mandatory training, will be given to the successful applicant.
