Senior Account Manager

Location: Solihull and Tamworth (multi-site role) | Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE

The Role

We are recruiting a Senior Account Manager to lead our automotive client account across two sites in Solihull and Tamworth.

You will take full operational and commercial ownership of the account. You will lead on service delivery, client relationships, workforce planning, and team performance.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone who can manage complexity, drive standards, and develop long-term client partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing on-site teams across both locations
  • Owning the day-to-day and strategic client relationship at senior level
  • Managing service delivery against agreed SLAs and KPIs
  • Producing and presenting daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
  • Leading workforce planning and recruitment forecasting
  • Managing volume attraction strategies, advertising, and local partnerships
  • Overseeing candidate screening, compliance, and right-to-work checks
  • Ensuring ethical and consistent interview and selection processes
  • Managing inductions, onboarding, and training documentation
  • Maintaining required staffing levels at all times
  • Driving absence management and retention strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and regulations
  • Managing rotas, timekeeping, and behavioural standards
  • Overseeing T&A systems and sign-in procedures
  • Approving payroll hours, rates, and holiday payments
  • Managing site stock levels and PPE in line with forecasts
  • Monitoring market activity and competitor intelligence
  • Managing budgets and maximising account profitability
  • Identifying and promoting additional Mach services
  • Leading worker engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Representing Mach Recruitment professionally at all times
  • Working closely with senior leadership, HR, and operations teams
Experience and Attributes
  • Senior experience in managed services or high-volume recruitment
  • Proven multi-site account management experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK recruitment and employment legislation
  • Demonstrated people management and team leadership skills
  • Experience managing large temporary workforces
  • Confidence dealing with senior client stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
  • High attention to detail with large data sets
  • A hands-on, delivery-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as required
  • A proactive, driven, and accountable mindset
