We are working in partnership with a specialist school in Skelmersdale who support pupils with additional needs ages 2-11. The school are looking to recruit Welfare Assistants to support over lunchtime, from 11.30am-1.30pm, due to an increase in pupil numbers. The role is to start as soon as possible. It will be a long term role with the view to have the opportunity to apply to transfer over to a permanent contract for the right person.

The school prides itself on striving to provide fantastic teaching and learning in an inclusive environment where all learners are cared for, valued and respected. They are a growing school providing personalised learning to meet individual need and are proud of the positive relationships they build with all their pupils and their families. Ideally looking for Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Health and Social Care Qualification or equivalent. You will need to have experience in supporting pupils with SEND this could come from a wide range of backgrounds from own family members, sports coaching, social/residential care, mainstream or specialist schools.
