Job description

Prospero Teaching is looking for dynamic new tutors in the BCP area to support young people with SEND needing alternate provision. We provide tuition to students in early years all the way to post 16, supporting them from 2 to 15 hours per week. This is a great opportunity for those seeking part‑time and full‑time employment.

Tuition is provided 1:1 in the young person’s home or in the local community, for example the library or coffee shops, and is completely tailored to the student’s needs to ensure they are getting the best possible support.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition to students aged 2 to 16, tailored to their individual needs.

Requirements

• Experience teaching or tutoring young people with SEND (e.g., classroom teacher, teaching assistant, or 6+ months of 1:1 tutoring).
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or an existing child DBS (note: a non‑DBS holder cannot work with 18+).
• Ability to work 2 to 15 hours per week.
