A leading charity organization is seeking a passionate SEND Tutor in the United Kingdom to join their team at Sense College in Bedford. The role includes planning and delivering lessons to students aged 16-25 with various disabilities. Candidates should possess a higher level teaching qualification and experience in special education. We’re looking for a passionate and creative SEND teacher to join our professional team as Special Education Needs and Disability Tutors at our College Centre based in Bedford. We would welcome applications from experienced SEND teachers as well as those looking for a development opportunity.
The successful applicants will be working with a small group of students aged 16-25 with a range of learning, sensory and physical disabilities. You will write individual learning plans based on thorough assessment and outcomes included in the individual Education, Health and Care Plans of students. You will plan and deliver lessons and assess and report on student’s progress. The Send Tutor will lead a classroom team delivering learning to a small group using specialist teaching approaches and resources. You will direct and coach learning support staff to ensure high quality teaching and learning and monitor performance. You will be part of a wider team of SEND Tutors sharing good practice and forming a network of professional support.
