Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

TimePlan Education Manchester is looking for a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs within a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale. This role is ideal for those with experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, communication difficulties and SEMH needs.

Role Overview:

You will work closely with the SENCO and teaching teams to ensure students with SEND are fully supported both academically and emotionally. The school has a highly collaborative pastoral department, making it an excellent place for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured SEND interventions (literacy, numeracy, communication skills)
  • Adapt learning materials for students with additional needs
  • Support learners in mainstream classrooms
  • Provide 1:1 mentoring for pupils who need focused attention
  • Work with external agencies and internal staff to ensure personalised provision
  • Record pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews where required
