Job Title: SEND Primary Teacher

Location: Gateshead

Salary: £120–£220 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

Start Date: September 2025 or sooner

They’re seeking a SEND Primary Teacher to join their team and deliver engaging, tailored learning that inspires progress in every child.

Overview

Your role will include:

• Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons for pupils with a wide range of additional needs

• Using specialist strategies to support communication, interaction, and sensory regulation

• Working closely with TAs, therapists, and families to ensure a consistent, joined-up approach

• Creating a safe, structured, and positive classroom where every child feels valued

What we’re looking for

• UK QTS/QTLS with experience in primary or SEND settings

• Strong knowledge of autism, severe learning difficulties, and communication strategies (e.g. PECS, Makaton)

• Patience, adaptability, and the ability to celebrate progress in all its forms

• A warm and nurturing approach to teaching, with a genuine commitment to inclusive practice
