WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday
START DATE: January 2026
LOCATION: Waltham Forest, North East London

A forward-thinking and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest, North East London, is seeking an experienced SENCO to join their team on a long-term basis for the Spring Term only, starting January 2026. This role is ideal for an organised, skilled, and passionate SEND leader who can confidently oversee and drive high-quality provision during this fixed-term period.

About the role
  • Lead and manage the school’s SEND provision across all year groups
  • Coordinate support for pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external professionals
  • Oversee EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory responsibilities
  • Monitor pupil progress, interventions, and SEND outcomes
  • Support staff with strategies, differentiation, and pupil plans
  • Maintain accurate and compliant SEND records
  • Safeguard pupils at all times
  • Full-time & Long-Term role (Spring Term only)
  • January 2026 start
  • Primary setting located in Waltham Forest, North East London
The ideal candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required
  • NASENCo qualification preferred (or ongoing)
  • Strong understanding of SEND processes and statutory requirements
  • Proven experience working as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confident supporting staff, pupils, and families
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to inclusive education
