Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a qualified QTS Tutor to deliver targeted intervention in Maths and English to students with special educational needs in Skelmersdale. This part-time, temporary position allows for flexible hours while making a significant impact on learners not currently accessing mainstream education. Candidates must have QTS, at least one year of teaching experience, and an understanding of SEN needs. Enhanced DBS is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience teaching Maths and/or English.
• Experience working with learners with SEN in a 1:1 or small-group setting.
• Willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS on the Child Barred List.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 Maths and English tuition tailored to SEN learning profiles.
• Adapt lesson structure to support engagement and emotional regulation.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents.
