A tutoring service is looking for an Outreach Tutor in Peterborough to provide one-to-one lessons for students with SEND. Ideal candidates will have experience in education and working with special needs. Responsibilities include developing tailored lesson plans and monitoring student progress. This contract role offers flexible hours and a competitive pay rate, starting from £21.30 per hour.

Overview

Outreach Tutor - Peterborough

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and Schools throughout the UK. We have a high demand for one-to-one Tutors with SEN experience in the Peterborough Area.

Opportunity

As a SEND Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 lessons that are tailored to each student. The aim of tuition will be to support in the re-integration process of education. The tuition is replacing school for these young people and each individual is commissioned a certain amount of hours. Prospero will work closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.

  • Duration: Until the student receives a School placement
  • Contract type: Temporary
  • Hours: Ranging from 6-30 Hours P/W
  • Rate of pay: From 21.30 - 25 per hour
Your Role
  • Deliver one-to-one or small group tuition supporting students with SEND, focusing on building confidence, teaching life skills, how to safely access the community, simple cooking and fostering Independence
  • Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families.
Eligibility
  • Child related / Education qualification.
  • Possess UK education experience.
  • Have experience working with SEND.
  • Hold right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Be able to reference the last two years of employment.
