Job description

We are looking for an experienced SEN Tutor/Teacher to provide 2:1 support to a 15-year-old female student in the TN25 area. You will be working alongside a Teaching Assistant to deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to the student's individual learning and emotional needs. The student has ADHD, ASD, and SEMH needs, with a history of trauma and multiple care placements. The ideal tutor will be trauma-informed, patient, and able to build a strong, trusting relationship through fun, flexible, and confidence‑building sessions.

Key Details
  • 15 hours per week – 3 hours per day, Monday to Friday (between 9am-3pm)
  • 2:1 support model – 1 Teacher and 1 Teaching Assistant
  • Deliver lessons focused on engagement, confidence, and emotional regulation
  • Plan and adapt sessions to meet the student's academic and emotional needs
  • Create a safe, positive, and consistent learning environment
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent tutoring/teaching experience
  • Proven experience supporting students with SEN/SEMH needs
  • Trauma‑informed practice or experience working with children in care
  • Ability to deliver creative, flexible, and engaging lessons
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
