Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Romford, London

Start Date: ASAP or February 2026

Pay Rate: £90-£95 per day (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Year Group: KS1/KS2 (1:1 support)

Teacher training available from September 2026

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a lovely three form entry primary school located in the heart of Romford. This is a full-time position to start as soon as possible, offering the chance to work in a supportive and inclusive school that places a strong emphasis on high-quality education and training.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and behavioural needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies that meet individual learning needs while promoting independence, confidence and positive learning habits.
  • Support pupils' learning and development, create an encouraging and inclusive environment, and contribute positively to the wider school community.
Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm. Daily rate between £90-£95 per day.
