Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a background in looking for your next exciting opportunity? We are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Primary and Secondary SEN school in Wolverhampton, starting ASAP.

The schools are situated in and around Wolverhampton and encourage all of their children to Learn, Progress and Shine! The schools are dedicated to providing high-quality education and care for children and young people with a range of special educational needs and / or disabilities (SEND), providing a perfect place for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work and thrive. They aim to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that prioritises each pupil's individual strengths, needs, and aspirations.

Responsibilities
  • Work 1 : 1 or in small groups with pupils identified as having SEN needs.
  • Support students in managing emotions, building resilience, and developing appropriate social skills.
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons and resources to suit individual pupils.
  • Modify and adapt learning resources and materials to suit the pupils ability level.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote a calm, supportive classroom environment.
  • Act as a key adult for pupils, building trusting relationships and offering consistent emotional support.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and relevant professionals.
  • Provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress, engagement, and challenges.
Requirements
  • Level 2 / 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Experience in SEN settings (Essential)
  • Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant and providing 1 : 1 support
