Job summary

As an SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher, you will plan and deliver tailored lessons, develop individual learning strategies, and create an inclusive classroom that empowers students to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lessons adapted to the needs of pupils with SEN.
  • Support students’ learning, confidence, and personal development.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote an inclusive, supportive, and safe classroom environment.
Requirements of SEN Teacher
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience working as an SEN Teacher or with pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to supporting students of varying abilities.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A responsible and professional approach to safeguarding.
