A specialist provision in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire is looking for a SEN Teacher to join their nurturing environment, designed for pupils with complex communication needs. With small class sizes, specialist TA support and a warm, inclusive culture, this school provides the perfect setting for a teacher passionate in supporting special educational needs.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Create a supportive, nurturing and structured learning environment for children with a range of SEN.
  • Use a variety of SEND‑appropriate teaching strategies, resources and communication methods (e.g., visual supports, sensory tools).
  • Assess pupil progress and maintain accurate records to inform planning and reporting.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants to ensure consistent, high‑quality support and personalised learning.
  • Implement behaviour‑support strategies that promote emotional regulation, communication and independence.
  • Promote social skills, communication and functional life skills through structured activities and play‑based learning.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that meets the sensory and emotional needs of young children.
