SEN English Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a warm, welcoming SEN school in Kingston that supports children with moderate learning difficulties. The school is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January, teaching KS3 and KS4 within a supportive and friendly environment.

Role : SEN English Teacher

Location : Kingston

Salary : M1-M6 based on experience

Contract : January 2026 to July 2026

Working hours : Full time, school hours, term time only

Key stages : KS3 and KS4 English

Class size : Approximately 10 children

Qualifications : QTS required (Primary or Secondary trained)

SEN experience : Not essential; open, adaptable teachers with a passion for SEN encouraged

Transport : Accessible by car, local buses and trains

Teacher compliance required :

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Right to work in the UK

Two recent teaching-related references

Full, up-to-date CV

Proof of address and photo ID

Teaching qualification and QTS documentation

Overseas police checks if applicable

Safeguarding training (Tradewind can provide this)

The ideal SEN English teacher will :

Be open, patient and passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs

Have strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach

Be adaptable and able to differentiate lessons effectively

Build positive relationships with students, staff and families

Bring creativity and encouragement to every lesson

Maintain high expectations while providing a supportive learning environment
